Fatoumata’s Journey
I first discovered User Experience Design while studying Communications with a concentration in Design and Digital Media. While I’ve always been drawn to the tech industry, I knew deep down that heavy coding wasn’t my path. When my Web Design professor introduced me to UX, everything clicked.
It was the perfect intersection of critical thinking, deep research, and visual storytelling. For me, design is about more than just aesthetics—it’s about creating digital products that are as functional as they are beautiful.
A Little More About Me
I am always looking to travel and experience new places with my friends and family, as I love absorbing different perspectives and cultures.
I stay creative and connected to my Fula-American heritage from Guinea-Conakry through hobbies like the artistry of Henna, crafting hand and waist beads, and sharing West African cuisine—especially Attiéké.
I’m also a big fan of all things Gen Z culture, from experimenting with makeup and fashion trends to keeping up with pop culture—usually with a matcha or bubble tea in hand.
